A young IAS officer Mohammad Roshan posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi
The State government has appointed Mohammad Roshan, a young IAS officer, as the new Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi. He assumed office on Friday, succeeding Nitesh Patil, who has been transferred to the position of Director, MSME, Bengaluru.
Previously, Mr. Roshan served as the Managing Director of HESCOM. His prior roles include ZP CEO of Haveri and Assistant Commissioner of Savanur. During his tenure in Haveri, he earned commendation for implementing a reusable drinking water system designed to cater to the large crowds at the Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. This system, comprising a network of underground water supply pipes operated by gravity, ensured zero leakage and water wastage.
Originally from Hyderabad, Mr. Roshan comes from a family of civil servants. He holds a B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, an MBA in Finance, and an MA in Public Policy. He was welcomed by Mr. Patil, ZP CEO Rahul Shindhe, and other officers.
