Belagavi City Corporation set up about 19 relief centres for families who lost shelter due to heavy rains

As the rain continuously lashed Belagavi, the City Corporation formed about 19 relief centers across the city to help the people who had lost their shelter due to heavy rainfall. They will be provided basic facilities like toilets, water, blankets, mosquito coils, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

A nodal officer and four supervisors have been deployed to each relief center to care for the people there. All nodal officers have been asked to report every development to the deputy commissioner (revenue) and deputy commissioner (administration).


As per BCC commissioner Rudresh Ghali, these relief centers will facilitate about 3,000 people in need. He appealed to the people in need to make use of the facility.

 

Regular health check-ups will also be done as the mosquito menace is there, we are fogging the area twice a day and providing mosquito coils Health officer Dr. Sanjay Dummagol said.

 

The relief centers have been set up in - Sukhshanti Bhavan in Udyambag, Adinath Bhavan in Angol, Jail School in Vadagaon, Annapurneshwari Mangal Karyalay in Vadagaon, Kaivalya Yogashram on Mandoli Road, Sai Bhavan in Khasbag, Jayawanti Mangal Karyalay in Khasbag, Daivadnya Mangal Karyalay in Shastri Nagar, Guesthouse in Konwal Galli, Ambedkar Bhavan in Nehru Nagar, KPTCL Hall in Shivbasav Nagar, Vidyadhiraj Bhavan in Ram Nagar, Dharmnath Bhavan in Ram Nagar, Balbhavan in Malmariti Layout, Mahantesh Bhavan in Mahantesh Nagar, Community Hall in Ramtirth Nagar, Valmiki Bhavan in Yamanapur, Lucky Garden Hall and Welcome Hall on Kanbargi Road.
