Bracelet worth Rs.10 lakh stolen from Marriotte, case registered at Kakti Police Station
Shipra Bijawat was staying at Fairfield by Marriott, on Tuesday, unidentified people allegedly stole a Bracelet worth Rs.10 lakh stolen from Fairfield by Marriott Belagavi. The incident took place when she left the hotel for some work at around 10:00am. when she returned Hotel around 10:30 pm after finishing her work, she found her bags opened. After checking the bag, she noticed that the bracelet worth Rs.10 lakh had been stolen. she expressed her displeasure by tweeting.
“Had a worst experience at fairfield by #Marriott belagavi, the #hotel took away the brand reputation from my heart and mind as a #customer.. I had faced infringement in my room and the room being used by other guests allowed by the hotel staff in my absence…#wakeupmarriott”, her tweet read.
The case was first ignored by Kakati police, but after officers visited the hotel on Thursday, higher officials took notice and initiated an investigation.
According to authorities, at around 3 p.m. that day, CCTV footage showed a woman and a guy going around Shipra's room.
Due to the initial delay, Commissioner of Police Dr. MB Borlingayya has expressed his displeasure over the Kakati police.
