CM Bommai Inaugurates Tiger Safari at Kittur Rani Channamma Mini Zoo at Bhutaramanhatti Belagavi
CM Bommai inaugurated the Tiger Safari and other amenities at Kittur Rani Channamma Mini Zoo at Bhutaramanhatti Belagavi.
This
is North Karnataka's first tiger safari that has been made public.
In
addition to a number of black-spotted bears, deer, crocodiles, peacocks,
pigeons, parrots, and other birds in viewing enclosures, there are three
tigers, three leopards, two lions, twelve jackals, and three hyenas.
The Karnataka Zoo Authority has planned to make it an educational centre to create awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.
Construction work for the enclosures of animals and infrastructure such as a visitors’ road, a service road, an animal hospital, a well, a pipeline, and a vermicompost shed is underway through Karnataka Zoo Authority.
District minister Govind Karjol, PWD minister CC Patil, muzrai Shashikala Jolle, MP Annasaheb Jolle, and others were present.
