Four Injured in Subhash Galli Belgaum due to Fire allegedly Caused by LPG Gas Leak

A tragic incident occurred in Subhash Galli, Belgaum, as a gas leakage led to a fire and cylinder explosion. Four people in the house were seriously injured, including NWKRTC employee Manjunath Narsappa Athani (42), his wife Lakshmi (36), and their children Vaishnavi (13) and Saiprasad (10).

They are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Belgaum. The local police and the agency manager of HP Gas visited the site to investigate the incident. Initial reports suggest that a short circuit may have caused the cylinder to explode, but further verification is needed.

The Athani family resides in a rented house on the first floor of a building in Subhash Galli, while Manjunath works as a driver in the first unit of KS RTC, Belagavi. The house suffered extensive damage, and the neighboring properties were also affected.

Local residents alleged that a faulty cylinder was delivered without proper inspection, leading to the tragic incident, despite the gas delivery occurring the day before.

The injured family, who lived on the first floor of a rented house, lost most of their belongings in the incident. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the tragedy.
