MoRTH & NHAI Issued notice for Land Acquisition for the New Belagavi-Raichur National Highway
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) have issued a notification regarding land acquisition for the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic corridor in Belagavi, Karnataka. The specific stretch of land from Des CH. 0+000 to 43+800 Stretch (EC-10-Hyderabad-Panaji), which includes the Belagavi-Hungund-Raichur area, is being considered.
A previous notice was released in June 2022, and objections were reviewed and dismissed. The competent authority has submitted a report to the Central Government in accordance with the relevant Act.
Land to be acquired in the following villages in 3 talukas in Belagavi District :
Belagavi Taluk (Belagavi) : Basatawad, Chandan Hosur, Kamakarahatti, Tarihal.
Bailahongala Taluk (Belagavi) – Bhavihala, Marikatti, Nagnur, Ganikoppa, Hannikeri, Hiremele, Lakkundi, Pularakoppa, Siddapur.
Savadatti Taluk (Belagavi) : Hirekoppa K.M, Inchal, Marakumbi, Murgod, Rudrapur, Tallur.
Notification Details :
The notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways,S.O.1405(E) dated 28.03.2022, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH 748A on the stretch of land from Km 0.00 to Km 43+800 (Special Land Acquisition Officer, NHAI Bagalkot) in the district of BELAGAVI in the state of KARNATAKA
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
