Organs of brain dead Man saves four lives
Organ donation of a 51-year-old brain-dead man helped save four lives in Belagavi.
After a fall at his residence, Umesh Dandagi of Mahabaleshwar Nagar, Belagavi was hospitalized at Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital. His family agreed to donate all of his organs to the needy when he was confirmed brain dead.
The heart was used in the KLE Dr.Prabhakar Kore hospital, while the liver was transferred to Bengaluru and one kidney was sent to each of the SDM Dharwad and Tatvadarshi Hubbballi hospitals.
