CM Siddaramaiah revealed plans for constructing a large industrial area covering 2000 acres close to Belagavi.
On December 15, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah unveiled plans for the advancement of North Karnataka. These included initiatives like reviving key tourist destinations and establishing a 2,000-acre industrial estate near Belagavi.
During the 10-day winter session in Belagavi, the chief minister announced the creation of a foundry cluster on 500 acres, an FMCG cluster in Dharwad to generate 2,400 jobs, a manufacturing cluster in Vijayapura spanning 1,500 acres, and a focus on cotton-based industries in Raichur.
Moreover, he revealed plans to upgrade the Water and Land Management Institute (Walmi) in Dharwad into a Center of Excellence for Water Management, aimed at educating people on water conservation and soil salinity management techniques. These developmental endeavors in underprivileged areas of North Karnataka are anticipated to bolster the State's GDP, thereby fostering overall growth.
