The Public Works Minister of Karnataka, Satish Jarakiholi, held a significant meeting with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari, in Delhi on Wednesday to discuss a series of 20 crucial road projects in the state.
The meeting focused on key projects aimed at improving connectivity and infrastructure in Karnataka. Among the projects on the agenda were the construction of the Shiradi Ghat tunnel, an elevated corridor for the Belagavi-Gokak road, and another elevated corridor on the old NH-4 Pune-Bengaluru highway in Belagavi city. The proposal for a Bypass road in Belagavi and a Ring road in Raichur were also among the important projects discussed during the meeting.
Recognizing the importance of these projects for the state's development, Satish Jarakiholi personally urged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to expedite their progress. The timely completion of these projects is expected to enhance transportation efficiency, bolster economic growth, and significantly improve the overall quality of road infrastructure in the region.
In response to the urgency expressed by Minister Jarakiholi, Nitin Gadkari directed the officials of the Public Works Department to promptly prepare and submit the outline plans for the proposed projects.
