Thieves take CCTV cameras and DVR from bank after stealing 4.37 crores cash & 3.150 kg gold ornaments in Belagavi District
On Sunday, 6 March 2022, Burglars stole Rs 4 crore in cash and 3.150 Kg Gold Ornaments from a Belagavi District Credit Cooperative Bank (BDCC) branch in Murgod Saundatti taluk.
The bank's shutter, strong room, and locker were all opened with duplicate keys, and all the cash and valuables were taken. They also took CCTV cameras and DVR from the bank which has created chaos among the people who have their deposits and gold in the bank.
District superintendent of police, Laxman Nimbargi, additional superintendent of police, Manahand Nandagaonvi, deputy superintendent of police, Ramanagouda Hatti, Saudnatti circle police inspector, Manjunath Naduvinamani, etc visited the spot and undertook an investigation.
President of the bank, Ramesh Katti, gave the information that the manager told him that the theft happened at 4.40 am on Sunday. The reason for keeping such a huge amount of cash in the bank is unknown.
