2-Year-Old Critically Injured in Stray Dog Attack at Azad Nagar, Belagavi

A two-year-old child was seriously injured after being attacked by stray dogs in the Azad Nagar area of Belagavi on Sunday afternoon.

The child, identified as Ahmed Ramiz Bisty (2), was playing near his house when seven to eight stray dogs attacked him. The dogs bit the child several times and caused serious injuries.

Hearing the child’s cries, local people rushed to help. They chased away the dogs and rescued the child. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in the city for treatment. Doctors said the child’s condition is serious but stable.

The incident has created fear among residents of Azad Nagar. People in the area said the number of stray dogs has increased in recent months. They also said dog bite cases are rising in many parts of the city.

Residents have asked the city authorities to take quick and strong action to control the stray dog problem. They warned that such incidents could happen again if proper steps are not taken.
