Lokayukta Raid on Belagavi AEE’s Residence; Assets Worth ₹14 Crore Unearthed
In connection with a case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, officials from the Karnataka Lokayukta conducted a raid on the residence of Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Ajaysingh Bapusingh Rajput on Friday and uncovered assets worth crores.

Rajput, who is currently serving in the District Urban Development Cell at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, was subjected to simultaneous searches at seven locations, including his residence, office, and bank lockers. Officials confirmed that several important documents were seized during the operation and are under examination.
During the raids, authorities identified three houses in Belagavi city and five plots in Savadatti, Hukkeri, and Hubballi. In addition, they recovered:
- 5.96 kg of gold and diamond jewellery
- 5 kg of silver articles
- Bank fixed deposits worth approximately ₹3.12 crore
- One car and one motorcycle
Overall, assets worth around ₹14 crore have been unearthed so far. Lokayukta officials stated that further investigation is ongoing.
