Star Air Launches Mundra–Belagavi Flight Service via Mumbai from June 23
Air connectivity for Belagavi is set to get a boost as Star Air has announced a new flight service connecting Belagavi with Mundra, a major industrial and port city in Gujarat’s Kutch district, through Mumbai. The new service will begin operations on June 23 and will run five days a week.
According to the airline, passengers traveling from Mundra will reach Belagavi at 9:30 PM, with the journey routed through Mumbai. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, flights will depart Mundra at 6:30 PM and arrive in Belagavi at 9:30 PM. On Fridays and Sundays, the flight will leave Mundra at 2:10 PM and reach Belagavi at 9:30 PM via Mumbai.
Mundra is home to one of India’s largest commercial ports and serves as a major industrial and logistics hub. The new flight connection is expected to significantly benefit business travelers, industrialists, and traders operating between North Karnataka and the Kutch region of Gujarat.
Belagavi currently enjoys direct flight connectivity only with Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Mumbai. While the newly announced service improves access to Gujarat, it is not a non-stop route, as all operations will be connected through Mumbai.
The announcement has been welcomed by Belagavi’s industrial community, as several local industries maintain strong import-export and business ties with Gujarat. Industry leaders believe the improved air connectivity will help strengthen trade relations and ease travel for business professionals.
Star Air has been steadily expanding its network from Mundra since the beginning of the year, with Belagavi becoming the latest city to be linked to the growing aviation corridor.
